Dr. Meer Ahmed is located in Houston, TX. Dr. Ahmed is currently teaching family residents as Assistant Professor of Medicine, University of Houston Colllege of Medicine. He has been in the field of Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine for over a decade. He successfully owned and operated his family medicine practice for years before selling it. His passion for the hospital called to him to join HCA Houston West as a hospitalist and chief of family medicine. His patient center approach allows him to see patients for whom they really are and provide care that encompasses patients overall well-being. Dr. Ahmed continues to provide care for the community, through his sleep medicine services and patient out reach through home visit and telemedicine. He completed his medical degree from prestigious institution (Bangalore Medical College) and residency from UMDNJ (University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey). He completed fellowship in hospital medicine from Methodist hospital in Houston and Board certification in Sleep Medicine. He is practicing hospital medicine and sleep medicine and passionate about utilizing telemedicine to meet patient needs.
